Commitment Sunday 2024

Jesus’ plan for his followers is that we should enjoy life to the full and be fruitful in building his Kingdom together. Commitment Sunday is an opportunity for each of us in the St Michael’s church family to review our own walk with God to ensure we are on track. It is also an occasion to renew our commitment all together to serving God and his purposes. 

On Commitment Sunday, each of us is invited to:

1. Commit to follow Christ faithfully.
As well as being enormously rewarding, following Jesus is demanding, requiring focus and effort. Will you personally commit to following Jesus as faithfully and closely as you can? It may be that Commitment Sunday 2024 is an opportunity for you to recommit and enjoy a fresh start.

2. Commit to each other 

Jesus was clear that no-one can claim to love God but not love their fellow believers. When we choose Christ, we also choose his Church: to belong, to serve and to give of ourselves to one-another.

In this brochure there is information about three key areas of church life; belonging, serving and giving. 

Would you be interested in joining a small group? What ministry will you help build up? How can you best use your time, money and gifts for the building of God’s kingdom in 2024?
